Supreme Court Externship Program
02 August 2017
The winter intake of students from the Monash Externship Program commenced at the Court last week.
Two law students from Monash University, Noa Bloch and Samuel Blaski, will be supporting judicial staff in chambers one day a week, for 12 weeks.
It is the second time this year that the Court has run the popular program in partnership with Monash University.
While at the Court, Noa and Samuel will conduct legal research, prepare case summaries and assist with other legal and administrative duties. They will also be provided with opportunities to speak one-on-one with judges, speaking candidly about the law and possible career pathways.
The Supreme Court coordinates a number of work experience and industry placement programs throughout the year aimed at providing an interactive, hands-on experience for both secondary and university students interested in pursuing a career within the courts.
