CPD morning seminar - The lost art of preparation for and advocacy on jury trials
In this joint Court initiative of the Supreme and County Courts of Victoria, Justice Rita Zammit, the Judge in Charge of the Supreme Court’s Personal Injuries and Dust Diseases Lists, and Judge O’Neill, the Judge in Charge of the Common Law Division, will chair a panel of speakers to discuss preparation for and advocacy in Jury trials.
The panel will include Mr Ross Gillies QC, a leader of the common law bar and experienced jury trial advocate, who will speak about the specialised advocacy necessary and Juries Commissioner, Mr Paul Dore, who will provide an insight into what is said to jurors before trial and their reaction afterwards.
Who should attend?
The seminar is primarily aimed at newer members of the profession. More experienced practitioners wishing to update their knowledge are also encouraged to attend.
