The Court is in the process of upgrading its technology infrastructure to provide an improved service to its users.

As a result, a major network outage is scheduled to occur from 5pm on 22 December 2017 to 8am on 2 January 2018.

All Court registries will remain open as usual between this period (excepting public holidays), however additional time may be needed to process transactions and some services will be unavailable.

Details of registry services and limitations are outlined below.

Principal Registry (including Common Law), Level 2, 436 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne

Available: In person filing and electronic filing through CITEC.

Unavailable: Litigation searches, file searches and subpoena searches will be unavailable during this period. 

Note: Normal processes apply for parties seeking to file urgent applications in the Practice Court.

Probate Office, Level 2, 436 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne

Available: In person filing of affidavits and supporting documents in Probate proceedings which are subject to requisitions.

Unavailable: The Probate Office will be unable to accept any new proceedings for filing or provide file searches during this period. 

Commercial Court Registry, Ground Floor, 450 Little Bourke Street, Melbourne

Available: In person filing or electronic filing by email - redcrest@supcourt.vic.gov.au (External link).

Unavailable: RedCrest electronic filing.

Note: Normal processes apply for parties seeking to file urgent applications with the Commercial Court Duty Judge.

Criminal Registry, Level 1, 436 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne

Available: In person filing.

Unavailable: Electronic filings.

Note: Parties seeking to file urgent applications, including for bail, should liaise with the Senior Legal Officer on 03 9603 6221.

Court of Appeal Registry, Level 1, 436 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne

Available: In person filing or electronic filing by email - coaregistry@supcourt.vic.gov.au (External link).
