For lawyers

The Court is leading the way in changing how cases are managed and processed. Its main aim is to ensure that matters are managed in a just, efficient, timely and cost-effective manner.

Working closely with judicial officers and senior Court administrators, lawyers working in the Supreme Court provide high level legal and administrative support. This includes providing high quality case summaries, undertaking research on often complex legal issues and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery.

You will apply a wide range of legal skills, including analysis, persuasion, negotiation and caseload management, in a high profile setting.

The Supreme Court is the highest court in the state and hears cases that make a real difference to the lives of Victorians - serious criminal cases, asbestosis cases, personal injuries matters, the Black Saturday bushfires class actions and complex Commercial litigation to name a few.
