Court Services Victoria has issued a statement in relation to a cyber security incident affecting the audio-visual in-court technology network.

The Supreme Court system was not breached.

The breach was contained to a single system that manages only audio-visual recordings for all courts. The response is being managed centrally.

Read the statement, including detailed FAQs, on Court Services Victoria's website.

Supreme Court hearings are proceeding and parties will be advised of any changes to the mode of hearing.

Parties in hearings where recordings may have been accessed have been notified. Hearings in the Supreme Court where recordings may have been accessed include the Court of Appeal, Criminal Division and the Practice Court from 1 December to 21 December 2023, and two regional hearings in November 2023.

Any queries relating to individual Supreme Court matters can be directed to your relevant registry contact or call (03) 8600 2000.
