The parties to the Murrindindi Black Saturday bushfire class action agreed to settle on 6 February 2015, when the trial was expected to begin.
The application for the Court's approval of the Murrindindi bushfire class action settlement was heard before Justice Emerton on 13 and 14 May 2015, with her Honour approving the settlement application on 27 May 2015.

The Settlement Distribution Scheme (SDS)
The SDS, which sets out in detail the process for assessing individual claims and the manner in which the settlement sum will be distributed, can be accessed below.
This matter, Rowe v AusNet Electricity Services Pty Ltd, S CI 2012 4538, has no current listings. The practitioners will advise the Court when the next case management conference will be required (around September 2018).

Court supervision of the settlement distribution process
Since the terms of settlement were approved, the Court has held case management conferences on 25 June 2015, 23 March 2016, 21 June 2016, 19 September 2016, 14 November 2016, 30 November 2016 and 30 January 2017 to supervise the settlement distribution process.
