Under Victorian law, there are restrictions on publishing information that could identify a victim of a sexual offence. The Supreme Court, County Court and Magistrates’ Court have developed guidance to assist those wishing to publish information.
The Judicial Proceedings Reports Act was amended commencing 15 October 2021 and will be further amended on 15 December 2021. The guidance previously provided has been updated to reflect the changes.
