The virtual ceremony marking the appointment of 16 new Senior Counsel will be publicly live streamed on 29 November 2021 at 9:30am.
The Hon. Anne Ferguson, Chief Justice of Victoria, will address and welcome the new Silks during the ceremony.
The Silks were chosen from 114 applicants (87 men and 27 women) after thorough consultation with the Victorian Bar, the broader legal profession, the Legal Services Commissioner and the judiciary. This year, for the first time in Victoria’s history, more women have been appointed than men.
