The Supreme Court of Victoria’s Court of Appeal has launched a new online learning resource during Victorian Law Week 2026.
Drawing on the knowledge and practical experience of Court of Appeal registry staff and judicial officers, the resource provides students with the opportunity to learn about the work of the Court of Appeal, the appeals process and career pathways within the Court.
The Court of Appeal has long supported student education, having previously run both in-person and online offerings for tertiary students. With such high numbers of engagement, the Court has shifted to an on-demand, online format, to allow a greater number of tertiary students to enhance their learning.
In this new format, the educational initiative will also be available to others with an interest in the work of the Court of Appeal, including Bar readers and the public.
“I’m very pleased to ‘officially open’ the virtual doors to the Court of Appeal for law students to access this program year-round, and especially during Victorian Law Week,” said Justice Karin Emerton, President of the Court of Appeal.
The launch of the online learning resource reflects the Court’s ongoing commitment to improving community understanding of the justice system.
You can access the resource on the Supreme Court’s website.
