Four judicial appointments to the Supreme Court of Victoria were announced today.

Justice Kevin Lyons, a Commercial Court judge in the Trial Division of the Supreme Court since 2018, has been appointed to the Court of Appeal effective from the 31 October.

Ms Caroline Goulden has been appointed as an associate judge of the Court and will commence on 2 November.

The Court also welcomes the appointments of Ms Claire Harris SC and Mr Andrew Watson as judges of the Court. Ms Harris’ appointment will commence on the 4 November 2023 when she joins the Common Law Division; Mr Watson will also serve in the Common Law Division with his appointment effective from the 13 November. 

The Court congratulates and welcomes the newly appointed judicial officers. Information regarding welcome ceremonies will be provided at a later date.
