A directions hearing in the matter of Marlene Kairouz v The Honourable Steve Bracks & Ors (S ECI 2021 00274) took place on 24 March 2021 before the Honourable Justice Tim Ginnane of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

The hearing followed a two-day hearing on 18 and 19 February 2021 at which the plaintiff (Marlene Kairouz) applied for an interim injunction restraining the defendants from proceeding with charges or from proceeding with the hearing of such charges relating to several alleged contraventions of the Australian Labor Party Victorian Branch Rules relating to alleged branch stacking.

Justice Ginnane handed down his decision in relation to the interim injunction application on Friday, 19 March.
