Martin Keith joins the Court’s Common Law Division as Judicial Registrar.

On 4 February 2020, the Governor in Council appointed Martin Keith as a Judicial Registrar of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Mr Keith joins the Court’s Common Law Division with more than 30 years of experience as a solicitor and counsel in courts and tribunals.

Working alongside Judicial Registrar Julie Clayton in this newly created position in the Court, Judicial Registrar Martin Keith will be responsible for early case management and hearing and determining interlocutory applications primarily in the Court’s Trusts, Equity and Probate List and Judicial Review and Appeals List. He will also support other specialist lists in the Division and conduct judicial mediations.

Until recently, Mr Keith held the position of auxiliary Magistrate with the South Australian Administration Authority, where he managed lists, made orders in chambers, and heard civil matters at the direction of the Chief Magistrate.

The Court warmly congratulates Mr Keith on his appointment effective today.
