The Court welcomes new judicial appointments.

Four new judicial appointments to the Supreme Court of Victoria were announced today.

Justice Maree Kennedy, a judge in the Trial Division of the Supreme Court since 2016, has been appointed to the Court of Appeal.

Mr James Gorton QC and Mr Michael Osborne QC have been appointed as judges of the Court in the Common Law Division and Commercial Court respectively.

Ms Patricia Matthews, a judicial registrar at the Court since 2017, has been appointed as associate judge and will work across Common Law and Commercial Court matters.

The appointments commence today.

The Court congratulates and welcomes the newly appointed judiciary.
