The Court is introducing new enhancements to RedCrest-Probate.

From Tuesday 3 June 2025, users will benefit from improvements designed to make the filing process more responsive to individual circumstances. The upcoming release includes:

  • Free-text entry for occupations, allowing greater accuracy.
  • Support for single-name references in wills, making it easier to reflect how individuals are named.
  • Options for witness circumstances, now allowing for a single witness and recording if a witness is deceased.
  • Exhibit notes for wills and codicils will now be included in the Document Package, which can be regenerated even after the application has been submitted.
  • Application details on Advertisement Search for applications that are linked to an advertisement.
  • New options to add a litigation guardian or administrator when filing a caveat.

These features are a result of user feedback, showing the Court’s commitment to continuous improvement.

To support the release, RedCrest-Probate will be offline from 5pm Monday 2 June to 8am on Tuesday 3 June 2025. No new advertisements, applications or filings can be submitted during the outage.

Further details of all the changes being made are available in the release notes.
