Mr Roberts was appointed on 11 June 2025.
Judicial Registrar Roberts was sworn in as a Judicial Registrar for the Court of Appeal on 11 June 2025. He previously served as Deputy Registrar of the Court of Appeal.
Before joining the Supreme Court in May 2017, Mr Roberts practised as a litigation lawyer at Norton Gledhill for 15 years. He acted in a broad range of civil and regulatory matters in Victorian courts. Mr Roberts also conducted litigation before the Federal Court and the High Court.
In his time as Deputy Registrar, Mr Roberts:
- oversaw the registry
- supervised registry lawyers
- managed a number of complex and sensitive cases
- and implemented access to justice improvements at the Court.
The Court warmly congratulates Judicial Registrar Roberts on his appointment.
Judicial Registrar Tim Freeman was also reappointed for a further five years from 13 July 2025.
