The Registries and Probate Office of the Supreme Court of Victoria will be closed from Friday 2 April 2021 (Good Friday) through to Monday 5 April 2021 (Easter Monday).

The Registries and Probate Office of the Supreme Court of Victoria will be closed from Friday 2 April 2021 (Good Friday) through to Monday 5 April 2021 (Easter Monday). All Registries will re-open and services will resume on Tuesday 6 April 2021. Please note the updates to some Registry services due to coronavirus and the closure of 436 Lonsdale Street. eFiling will still be available during this period, however please note that any filings will not be actioned until services resume on Tuesday 6 April 2021.

Applications for grants of representation and further filings in the Probate Office can be filed on RedCrest-Probate, and original wills can be dispatched by post to the Probate Office during this period. The examination and assessment of applications and documents will resume on Tuesday 6 April 2021.

Documents will be taken to have been filed on the date and at the time of first uploading into RedCrest or RedCrest-Probate, pursuant to Rule 28A.04(4) of the Supreme Court (General Civil Procedure) Rules 2015 and Rule 1A.03(5) of the Supreme Court (Criminal Procedure) Rules 2017 and Rule 1A.03(3) of the Supreme Court (Administration and Probate) Rules 2014.

Please note: under Rule 3.08, Tuesday 6 April 2021 is not counted as a filing day for the purpose of calculating time under Rule 3.01 of the Supreme Court (General Civil Procedure) Rules 2015.
