The Court will host a retrospective welcome ceremony for Justice Gorton on Tuesday, 8 March 2022 at 9.15am.
Attendance at the ceremony is by invitation only and will take place in the Banco Court. A live stream of the welcome will be made available online.
Justice Gorton was appointed to the Trial Division on 15 December 2020. However, the Court has been unable to host in-person welcome ceremonies due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Details about further retrospective welcome ceremonies for judicial officers appointed since the onset of the pandemic will be provided when available.
