Leeanne Joy Creese has brought a group proceeding (class action) on behalf of persons who allegedly suffered personal injury as a result of the operations of a sect, known as 'The Family', during the period of 1968 to 1987. The plaintiff claims against Anne Hamilton-Byrne, who is the alleged administrator of the sect, as well as Life For All Creatures Ltd (ACN 095 549 003) and the Registrar of Titles.

On 21 December 2020, the Court approved a Notice of Proposed Settlement to be sent to group members. Group members should read the notice carefully as the matters set out in the notice may affect their legal rights. 

Then notice requires that group members who wish to partake in the proposed settlement, if approved by the Court, must provide a claimant registration notice by 5 February 2021.

The notice also requires that any group member who wishes to object to the settlement must provide a notice of objection to proposed settlement by 5 February 2021.
