A ceremony marking the appointment of 21 new Senior Counsel in and for the State of Victoria will be held at the Supreme Court on Monday 24 November.
The Hon. Richard Niall, Chief Justice of Victoria, will formally address the Silks at 9.15am in a livestreamed ceremony from the Court.
The list of 2025 Senior Counsel was announced on 29 October. The appointees were selected from 94 applicants following a consultation process involving the Victorian Bar, the broader profession, the Legal Services Commissioner, and the judiciary.
A recording of the ceremony will be made available on the Court’s website following the ceremony.
