Social media

The Court uses social media to share information about judgments and sentences. Students may be interested in following the Supreme Court's Twitter or Facebook.

Audio and video webcasts of some judgments and sentences are streamed live and are available to listen to on demand. You can also access judgments and sentences online.

In 2016, the Court launched a video and booklet for teachers and VCE Legal Studies students to help explain the roles of people who work in the courtroom, the procedures of a trial and how a trial reaches the Supreme Court. These free resources were produced in 2016 as part of a General Grant received from the Victoria Law Foundation.

The booklet and video, follows the fictional case of Justin, an 18-year old student charged with manslaughter, as he proceeds through a criminal trial at the Supreme Court of Victoria.
